Our Story

Over 100 years in Southeast Idaho

Mountain River Sod is a fifth-generation family farm operating in Southeast Idaho. Our family has been involved in agriculture in this region for more than 100 years. That is long enough to know what grows here, what fails here, and what it takes to grow it well.

Today, multiple generations work the farm together. The older generation brings the experience. The younger generation brings the energy. We value the opportunity to teach the next generation the importance of hard work, problem solving, and responsibility while giving them hands-on experience to work toward their future goals and success. Those values show up in every roll of sod we cut.

We take pride in producing quality sod and in the service we provide our customers. When you buy from us, you are not buying from an Ag corporation. You are buying from a family that has been working this land for five generations.
